Digital photo booth: how does it work?
A digital photo booth is a classic photo booth (touchscreen, camera, personalised frame) without a printer. Your guests take unlimited photos and GIFs, and get everything on their phone or via a download link. Here is how it works in practice, from plugging it in to getting the photos.
The idea: the same booth, without the paper
On a digital booth, nothing changes for the user: guests tap the screen, choose their format (photo or GIF), strike a pose and see the result appear with the event’s personalised frame.
The only difference: instead of coming out on paper, each photo is saved in high definition inside the booth. The direct result: there is no print allowance to keep an eye on. 50 photos or 900 photos in an evening, the price is the same.

Where are the photos stored?
A common question, and an important one. On our booths, the photos are stored locally, in the booth itself, during the event. No need for Wi-Fi, no reliance on a cloud during the evening: even in a village hall with no signal, everything works.
After the event, the photos are transferred and you receive a secure download link with every single shot and GIF in HD.
How guests get their photos
Two methods, which can be combined:

The download link is enough in most cases: you send it the next day in the event’s WhatsApp group, and everyone helps themselves.
The QR code adds the “wow” factor of instant sharing: guests post their photo to their stories during the evening. Please note: on the 100% digital package, this option requires the booth to be connected to a local Wi-Fi network on site (with the print packages, this is not needed). Set-up: 5 minutes, no technician
The digital photo booth sets up like all our booths, Plug & Play:
- Screw on the legs and place the booth in a busy corner of the room
- Plug it into the mains
- That’s it: the welcome screen launches and your guests help themselves

The personalised frame, always included
Digital does not mean impersonal: the personalised photo frame (colours, names, date, theme, logo) is included free of charge, as on all our packages. You create it in a few minutes in our online editor after booking, and it dresses up every photo and every GIF of the evening.
