15 photo booth pose ideas
Standing in front of the photo booth with no idea what to do? Here are 15 tried and tested poses.
Solo
- The classic: smile at the camera, simple and effective
- The star: hand in your hair, gazing into the distance, sunglasses on
- The funny face: stick your tongue out, puff out your cheeks, cross your eyes
- The jump: jump just as the flash goes off (warn your knees)
- The thinker: chin on your fist, deep gaze
In pairs
- Back to back: arms crossed, looking sideways
- The kiss on the cheek: a classic, but it always works
- The re-enactment: recreate a famous film pose (Titanic, James Bond…)
- The mirror: exactly the same pose, face to face
- The piggyback: one carries the other on their back
In a group
- The pyramid: tallest at the back, shortest at the front, everyone squeezed in
- Charlie’s Angels: back to back, finger guns out
- The cheer: arms in the air, mouths open, as if you had just won
- The class photo: front row seated, second row standing, serious and then in fits of laughter
- Different directions: everyone looks a different way
Tips for better photos
- Use the props: hats, glasses, moustaches, they help shy guests loosen up
- Don’t hesitate to come back: the first photo is always the most well-behaved, the next ones are the best
- Fill the frame: get closer, squeeze together. Photos with empty space work less well
- The GIF: move! The GIF captures 3-4 seconds of movement, not a frozen pose
